Appetizer Using King Trumpets
A good friend and a repeat customer sent over a photo of an appetizer that he made using our king trumpets for a dinner party. These trumpets are very similar in taste and texture to scallops. When you slice the stems horizontally and sautee them in butter, they are almost indistinguishable.
This recipe is sooo simple, yet sooo good! Simply slice the king trumpets and sautee in a pan with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Top with swiss cheese and parsley and serve. Simple as that!
